a little about me

In 1996 my father finally relented and signed us up with a local ISP. (It was either that or I was going to start taking apart the Macintosh.) It wasn't long before I wanted to make a webpage of my own. My dad called the ISP and they told me I would need to "learn HTML." HTML seemed a little daunting for a sixth grader, so my dad hooked me up with a copy of Adobe PageMill.

My first webpage was mainly about beanie babies. I was constantly creating new sites and re-designing ones I had already made. Eventually PageMill became too limiting, so I began learning HTML. Later I added CSS and XHTML to my skill arsenal. I worked in college as a web developer for an online toy company installing and fixing PHP-based applications. I also wrote product descriptions for the toys and used Photoshop to edit the images.

Now I'm taking the skills I've spent over 15 years developing and offering them up as services for the public. I've spent over half my life learning and practicing web design. My other hobbies include baking, reading literature, drinking diet coke and coffee, and sketching. I also work in tech support.
